This original watercolor painting by Brooke Lanier depicts the dam at Silver Lake in Rochester, MN during a spring flood. Brooke made the painting during quarantine in 2020 based on a photo taken years previously. She grew up in Rochester, and was painting familiar landscapes as a mental escape while she was cooped up in her apartment in Philadelphia.
