This piece is based on a collage of photos I took while touring the SS United States on multiple occasions. It is a reflection of the imprecision of memory and trying to reconstruct a sense of space. It is also poking fun at the many people who routinely give me terrible directions. 
 
"You just gotta go right, right over there." Does that mean walk down the stairs to the right side of the composition? Do I take the right hand side of divided and united staircase to the left? Do I turn right at the top of the stairs? Where are we going anyhow? Where are we?
