Scarboro Lake

$400.00Price

8" x 10" egg tempera painting on paper

2016

I made this painting on location beside Scarboro Lake, a section of a cypress swamp in Metter, GA where my grandpa used to go swimming as a kid. I can't go swimming there because now there are gators. I can only go paint outside on certain days in the winter because of hunting season. It is the only place where I've ever been simultaneously worried about alligators and getting shot.
