This is one of the last remaining paintings from my MFA thesis show, “Solitude and Solidarity” at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. It is a memory of one of the lights in the swimming pool where I spent a huge portion of my adolescence as a competitive swimmer. I made a whole series of lights. This was my friend Johnny’s favorite one.
