This is a highly textured painting of the starboard bow of the SS United States, America's Flagship. It is much easier to see the port bow from the street, so I was surprised when I got up close and realized how much fresher the paint on the starboard side looked. Usually, the side of the ship that is exposed to the elements more gets weathered more harshly.
