Oil on panel

20" x 16" x  1/2"

2023

This is a highly textured painting of the starboard side rudder and transom  of the barkentine Gazela viewed from Penn's Landing on the Delaware River in Philadelphia. The wooden 3-masted sailing ship was built in 1901 in Portugal as a cod fishing vessel and has copper cladding on the lower part of her hull. I did over 100 volunteer hours helping to restore this ship.
