This is a view underneath the Gazela, which is a 1901 Portuguese barkentine, a wooden ship with copper cladding. I did a lot of volunteer work to help restore her, including scraping paint from her hull. The unique perspective is from a floating dock that we pull up alongside her to do work on the ship's exterior. The water in the Delaware River looks unexpectedly golden late in the day.
