About the event

This story from the collection "Stories of Your Life and Others" takes the form of documentary interviews of people discussing whether or not to make calliagnosia mandatory for students enrolled at a fictional university. The technology alters peoples' ability to perceive beauty in human faces in an effort to eradicate lookism- superior treatment of beautiful people. Parties interviewed include a prospective student raised with calliagnosia, her parents who sent her to a school where everyone has that augmentation, a neurologist, people at the college arguing both sides of the debate, and other people.
